VISA AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Please note that visa requirements apply to some nationalities, and participants are therefore strongly encouraged to confirm entry requirements as soon as possible, but no later than 1 June 2026.

Citizens of EU and Schengen countries do not require a visa or other permits to visit the Faroe Islands. However, it is important to note that the Faroe Islands are not part of the European Union or the Schengen Area. Consequently, entry to the Faroe Islands cannot be based on a Schengen or Danish visa alone. When applying for a visa at a Danish Embassy, the application must specifically include the Faroe Islands.

Further information on visa requirements, including lists of visa-required and visa-exempt countries and guidance on how to apply, can be found here:

Visas and Work Permits - The Government of the Faroe Islands
